Once in awhile I like to look back and see what made me such a Horror fanatic.
When I was 8 years old I watched "Pieces" with my Dad and some of those images have been burned into my mind ever since. The tagline was: "You don't have to go to texas for a chainsaw massacre!" The release date was September 23, 1983.
Directed by Juan Piquer Simon, this old underdog has all the elements that a good slasher flick should have; Blood, Dismemberments, Suspense, and of course bad acting. Watching this film today I had to laugh and ask myself why I found it so memorable as a child? Was it the "nudey" puzzle? The limbs flying? Or was it that big bearded man who didn't say too much? If your a horror fan, a seasoned gorehound, looking for some party entertainment, or if you just get a kick out of old school slasher flicks, PIECES is for you! MoreGore!-----JakeHorror |
